Ryan’s brother who was back at the HS as an assistant volunteer coach for summer, called Ryan into the office on day and showed him this photo and said “this was your first training session, do you remember it at all”
Ryan replied, “yes sir, it was the first time that I felt at pace and like I had a place in the world, but who is the other jock on the right?”
Ryan’s brother replied “that is Brian, I forgot, you had a rely hard time after he his parents sent him off to “camp” we had to let him of the team before they took more drastic damaging actions, he moved away, but you two were best friends for that summer”
Ryan just looked at the photo and said “wow, that first year we relay changed didn’t we? That is not at all how I remember Brian”
“well that is because of what happen during training session 2 when you ended up controlling Brian when I left you two alone for like 10 mins. You had him on his knees when I cam back, that is when I knew you would be a very good captain, one who could help coach train other jocks, just like me”
